OpenAI is expanding access to GPT-6 Astra beyond its earliest organizational release. The company says the model is now gradually to subscribers on the $20-a-month ChatGPT Plus plan. However, the location of that access matters: Plus includes Astra in ChatGPT Work and Codex, not GPT-6 Pro in the ordinary Chat model picker.
That is easy to miss because Chat, Work and Codex now sit close together in the same product family. Chat is designed for conversation and everyday questions.
